Idea #8: Candy Corn Mason Jar Vases

Layer candy corn in a mason jar, drop in a smaller vase of water, and fill it with orange marigolds — you just made a centerpiece that looks like it cost forty dollars. The candy layers do the decorating; the flowers just have to show up.
Use a narrow inner vase or plastic cup so the candy stays dry and pretty for weeks. No marigolds? Orange grocery-store carnations or even faux stems work. Make three in different heights for a mantel or table runner that smells like fall and looks like a craft fair find.
