Idea #21: A Black Velvet Wreath (Classy, Not Costume-y)
A wreath of black velvet ribbon with mini white pumpkins is how you do Halloween on a front door that also has standards. It reads elegant from the street and spooky only when you get close — the perfect balance.
Start with a plain grapevine or black wreath base, weave wide velvet ribbon through it, and wire on five to seven mini pumpkins off-center. A long ribbon tail down one side adds the drama. This wreath photographs beautifully in daylight, which is more than most Halloween decor can claim.
