Idea 6: Fill a Tall Vase with Dried Wheat and Eucalyptus

Fresh flowers die; dried stems last all season. A tall ceramic or glass vase filled with dried wheat stalks, preserved eucalyptus, or pampas grass adds height and texture to a console table or empty corner for almost nothing. Wheat bundles run $5–8 at craft stores, and one bunch fills a vase generously. Keep the arrangement loose and a little wild — trim stems at different lengths so it doesn’t look like a hotel lobby. If you have allergies, preserved eucalyptus gives the look without the pollen.
