Idea 19: Hang a Dried Orange Slice Garland in the Window
This is the DIY that looks way fancier than it is. Slice oranges ¼-inch thick, bake at 200°F for 2–3 hours (flipping once), and string the dried slices on twine with a needle. Hang the garland in a sunny window and the light shines through the translucent slices like stained glass. It smells faintly amazing for weeks. Total cost: two oranges and an afternoon. Mix in a few cinnamon sticks or dried apple slices for variety — it also makes a gorgeous gift topper.
